Description:
My client, a leading developer in the wind and solar energy sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Finance Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing financing for large-scale renewable energy projects and ensuring the financial success of wind and solar developments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Renewable Energy, or related fields; a Master’s degree or CFA qualification is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project finance, ideally with a focus on renewable energy (wind or solar) or infrastructure.
- Proven experience in financial modeling and structuring complex deals.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with a track record of closing project finance transactions.
- Fluent in English; additional languages, particularly German, are a plus.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, investors, and lenders.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of project finance deals for wind and solar projects.
- Develop and manage complex financial models to assess project viability, risks, and returns.
- Oversee the preparation of financial documentation, including investment memoranda, for presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate the due diligence process, working with legal, technical, and environmental teams to ensure project feasibility and compliance.
- Negotiate terms with banks, investors, and financial institutions to secure funding for projects, including debt and equity financing.
- Monitor the financial performance of ongoing projects, identifying opportunities to optimize returns and manage risks.
- Collaborate with the development team to align financial strategies with project timelines and objectives.
- Mentor junior staff, providing guidance on financial analysis and transaction structuring in the renewable energy space.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in the renewable energy finance sector.
