ABOUT YOU:

  • Commercial and financial management experience in a complex environment with experience managing complex financial models
  • CA/CPA/CFA qualified
  • Corporate financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Oversight and implementation of high-budget, multi party service agreements experience
  • In depth understanding of contractual agreements in relation to property development, construction and or facilities management
  • Ability to establish and adinster service agreement contracts with multiple providers
  • Ability to enforce and audit procurement process to ensure requirements are met
  • Experience in the development, construction and/or property and facilities management sector
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced computer skills particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Manages project funding and financier reporting and liaison with funds and Stage Owners representing the Master Developer.
  • Work collaboratively with corporate financial team to ensure financial compliance and reporting requirements are met.
  • Manage individual stage budgets, incorporating monthly actual results, reporting, and financial approvals.
  • Responsible for reporting on cost to complete, active construction contracts tracking, forecasting, cash flow requirements, sensitivity analysis and security requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring forecasts and cashflows are reported accurately and on a timely basis to facilitate executive and board reporting.
  • Responsible for the preparation of month end reporting packs that articulate:
  • Variance analysis against forecast and budget,
  • Significant spend for the month,
  • Risks and opportunities to the future Project forecast,
  • Capital and funding requirements,
  • Compliance and governance reporting
  • Responsible for the budget and forecast processes, working closely with Group Finance and the W&CM leadership team
  • Closely collaborate with the GM Finance & Commercial to provide financial governance and oversight of the W&CM business units by delivering robust financial and commercial analysis that encourages evidence-based decision makin

Responsibilities:

The Project Financial Manager is pivotal in steering the financial governance of the Herston Quarter project, Australian Unity’s flagship health and wellbeing social infrastructure precinct. This role, which reports to the Program Manager, involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders across the Australian Unity Group, including the Wealth & Capital Markets (W&CM) Executive leadership team and senior members of Group Treasury. The manager oversees critical tasks such as securing project funding, generating monthly finance reports, forecasting cashflows, managing accounts payable, processing purchase orders, and conducting WIP reviews and reconciliations by continuously refining the Herston Quarter financial model.
A significant aspect of this role includes managing the integration of the Herston Quarter with the Coupa Purchase Order System and ensuring that consultants’ service agreements and insurances are meticulously monitored. Additionally, the Project Financial Manager will handle the financial modelling for future stages of the project and ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting for the Herston Quarter initiative.
This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant.
