Job Description
AECOM Canada is looking for an experienced Project Information Specialist to join our team and be responsible for the quality and organization of incoming and outgoing project-related information and contractual documents.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Research, collect and evaluate project data necessary to meet project reporting and evaluation requirements.
  • Design and develop the technology solutions to be deployed on systems using the approved solution assessment to meet program/project requirements and maintain the technology solution change control process including a structure to manage and track changes against the scope.
  • Identify and document project issues and risks in information technology (IT) project plans and escalate as appropriate.
  • Maintain a technology solution issue and risk process and/or defect logs.
  • Monitor and maintain the solutions communication plan and process.
  • Under general supervision, resolves most problems but refers more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Processes documents (including indexing into database and/or enterprise content management system).
  • May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues.
  • May orient, train, assign, and check the work of lower level employees.
  • Perform day to day admin tasks regarding Information management.
  • Collaborate with external and internal team members to ensure that project solutions are utilized in the most efficient manner. Offering best practice advice where possible.

Qualifications
-

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of related construction experience.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma in Administration, Project Management Assistant, or related field
  • Previous experience in the consulting industry (engineering or architectural) would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational, time-management, and strong attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to self-manage assignments from start to finish with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and calm composure.
  • Committed to providing exceptional client service, both internal and external.
  • Able to interact professionally with all levels of business personnel and build strong working relationships.
  • Proficiency – Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Working knowledge of computerized project management software.
