Job Description
AECOM is searching for a Project Information Specialist for a temporary full-time position based in our Burnaby, BC office. This is a contract position expecting to last 1 year.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Interface with the document control group to create and manage a SharePoint document system for vendor to use in submitting documents
- Maintain document management system together with all contract documentation.
- Oversee the execution and quality of the Handbook of Procedures document.
- Implement training for the Handbook of Procedures, ideally a train the trainer program.
- Forecast labor costs by staff and workload, with input from project management team.
- Periodic visits at the project office to interface with procurement leads
- Report on vendor status of vendor procurement packages including submittal status, FAT status, and delivery status.
- Tracking of shop drawing/submittal review completion by the engineering team.
- Coordination for required for vendor site visits for installation verification, training, start-up and commissioning as outlined in the supply agreements.
- Change management and coordination with project controls on capital cost and engineering cost changes
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree + 6 yrs of relevant experience or Diploma/Certificate + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Knowledge and experience with procurement and delivery of capital projects.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with people in variety of positions and organizations
- Proven ability to deal with multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work with remote and geographically distributed team
- Ability to identify and track key performance metrics.
