ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone who can provide valuable landscape architectural input to the City Projects team and has the following background and expertise:

A Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture which satisfies eligibility requirements for professional membership of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects

• .Proficiency with AutoCad, Adobe Suite, Powerpoint and Excel. Experience with Indesign will be highly regarded
• .A minimum of 3 years landscape architectural design experience using AutoCad
• .Current Driver’s Licence Class C
• .

Undertake and monitor a range of activities throughout the project lifecycle, including due diligence, project governance, risk mitigation, and reporting and evaluation to achieve project plan outcomes and requirements within the agreed scope

• .Prepare and deliver public consultation plans in relation to projects to obtain community input or to provide information regarding proposals
• .Engage with stakeholders, external providers and consultants to develop quality and innovative solutions to the agreed project scope, budgets, timelines and deliverables.Participate in strategic planning and feasibility activities to ensure projects deliver maximum value to the community
• .Provide accurate advice, analysis and reporting to Council stakeholders and make recommendations regarding alignment of project proposals, major developments and public realm, with policy and strategic objectives
• .Undertake tendering and contract administration compliant with policy and legislative requirements

The ideal candidate will provide landscape architectural project design services for Council’s open space projects to meet Operational and City Projects Plan outcomes and objectives.
The role is responsible for all aspects of project design and delivery including project planning, feasibility assessment, brief development, conceptualisation, detail and design, and preparation of tender documentation for Council projects of varying complexity and delivery of projects.
