Description:
Job Purpose: To take a lead on setting up SUN groups in Bexley and Greenwich anddeveloping SUN groups in Bromley including setting up operational processes, clinical governance, and supervision structures in each borough consultation with the SUN clinical lead. Supervision of SUN groups facilitators in the borough of Bexley.Report on the progress of the SUN group roll out and any risks of these plans to the Head of Psychological Therapies in Primary Care Adult Mental Health and relevant stakeholders. Develop a business case for the continuing provision of SUN groups in the Adult Mental Health directorate to include options appraisal for a stand alone SUN group service and the existing model of integration with existing Community Mental Health Teams. To focus on: Updating the SUN Group operational policy.
Develop structures for operational management, clinical governance and clinical supervision. Ongoing training programme to ensure the continued development of staff trained to facilitate SUN groups. To oversee operational processes for SUN groups in each of the three boroughs. To liaise with operational lead from the borough adapt teams to book rooms and to organise rotas for the groups in each borough.Work alongside operational lead in each borough to ensure referral processes are set up and managed via email.
To work with clinical lead to ensure clinical supervision structures are set up in each borough. Be up to date and proficient in the use of social media and virtual technologies to support this work. To plan ongoing training annually for new facilitators. To gather, analyse and use workforce and other data to underpin plans and evaluation.
To keep stakeholders up to date on project progress and risks. To develop an inclusive approach to the SUN model monitoring staff andservice users involvement from diverse backgrounds creating a psychologically safe environment for the groups and advocating the principles of trauma-informed care. To maintain a strong focus on collaboration and coproduction of the workstream; ensuring all projects understand service User and staff needs and views. To receive and provide training as appropriate to the role in line with national developments in SUN group model.To undertake service evaluation, audit, research and policy development.
To work as an autonomous professional within appropriate professional guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by principles and policies or procedures of the service, taking responsibility for interpreting policies within defined parameters.
