DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred and four years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Healthcare background and experience preferred.
  • Expertise with complex data management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):

  • Polished written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to productively contribute to cross-functional teams.
  • Depth of knowledge in technical discipline/domain needed to deliver projects.
  • Demonstrated project management ability to employ integration, scope time management, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk, and procurement components.
  • Use of project management tools (e.g. JIRA, ServiceNow, Atlassian, Msft PM, Power Bi, Power App, Share Points, etc.). Development and maintenance of Project Management Dashboards and Reports.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:

  • Frequently sit, perform desk-based computer tasks, grasp lightly/fine manipulation and lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
  • Occasionally stand/walk, write by hand, twist/bend/stoop/squat and lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 20 pounds.
  • Rarely use a telephone, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, reach/work above shoulder, grasp forcefully.

    Responsibilities:

    DUTIES INCLUDE:

    • Review project plans and proposals, and work with management to develop project objectives; identify project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project; calculate time frames and sequence the stages of the project.
    • Perform project management oversight of small projects or more than one large task within a larger project.
    • Oversee, coordinate, and perform technical aspects of the project , with guidance, based on type of project manager support required (e.g., engineer, quality, scheduler).
    • Review, evaluate, approve, and monitor cost schedule and technical scope baselines.
    • Ensure the preparation of required project documentation.
    • Contribute to communication plans and change management elements.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and implement communication plans and change management plans to effectively manage projects on budget and on time, ensuring stakeholders are informed of potential delays and managing their expectations with a service-oriented mindset.
    • Identify and address blocking issues, whether technical, process-oriented, or people-oriented, independently and proactively, leveraging basic technical proficiency in data management and data standards.
    • Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources using qualitative and quantitative techniques, recommending additional collection and reporting requirements as needed.
    • Demonstrate proficiency with the Stanford STARR system and data architecture, utilizing the data dictionary to pre-screen and validate data elements for IT-related projects.
    • Develop and implement technology-enabled project intake, prioritization, and capacity management processes to effectively manage technology projects running in parallel, ensuring efficient multitasking and timely delivery.
    • Define project requirements and test cases for system developments, potentially including the writing of functional specifications.
    • Work under self-initiated direction to assess and produce relevant, standard, or custom information from structured data sources by querying data repositories and generating associated reports for distribution to applicable agencies, researchers, management, and other internal end-users.
