ClinChoice is searching for a Project Management Leader Consultant to join one of our clients.
ClinChoice is a global full-service CRO with a strong focus on quality, professional development, and supportive culture. As a client-facing role, we are looking for confident candidates with the ability to work independently whilst establishing a high-trust environment with the client’s counterparts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS degree in life sciences, engineering, or business management is required. A PhD/PharmD or other advanced degrees in a related scientific degree/qualification is preferred.
  • Five (5) years of successful performance on a standard priority project as a PML (or equivalent experience in a similar drug development role in other departments or companies) is required.
  • Successful management of two or more governance stage gate decisions is required.
  • A proven track record of Leadership demonstrating improvement in the quality or efficiency of Company processes, and/or that lead to new capabilities within an organization.
  • A Demonstrated ability leading in cross functional teams is required.
  • Cross-functional experience is required.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience in Project management is strongly preferred.
  • Planisware and Microsoft Projects.

Responsibilities:

The Established Products Project Management Organization (PMO) accelerates the delivery of innovative solutions and late lifecycle deliverables to support the Established Products Compound Development Teams. The project Management leader Established products (EP PML) supports the delivery of innovative medicines to patients by driving portfolio strategy and program excellence through insight-based decision-making. The EP PML is the primary PMO to the Clients Established Products (EP) Compound Development Teams (CDTs). The EP PMLs report to the Director, Head of Established Products PMO. The EP PML is directly accountable to EP CDTs for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, reporting and the integrated, end-to-end (E2E) compound development plan as approved by the appropriate governing body. As a Core member of the EP CDT, the PML provides program, portfolio management and cross-functional operational leadership support for completing required post-marketing activities and executing late life-cycle product strategies.

The PML has the following three key areas of responsibility to deliver program outcomes:

  • Creatively drive CDT decision making
  • Operationalizes the CDT Strategy
  • Optimizes the CDT Operating Environment

PMLs are guided in all matters by our Client Credo values and our Leadership Performance Standards. The successful candidate will co-lead the CDT to meet or exceed the team goals by providing global cross-functional operational leadership in a matrix organization. This includes optimizing plans objectively through constructive challenge and continuous dialogue with different functions to ensure all activities are aligned with EP strategy and objectives for their portfolio. Other key responsibilities include:

  • They will drive insight generation, interpretation, and implementation to facilitate decision making and strategy refinement.
  • Establish CDT strategy in partnership with the CDTL/CL, with goals and objectives that are aligned with the Established Products Overall strategy and objectives.
  • Lead the team to translate CDT strategy into an integrated, executable plan. This includes scenario planning, setting priorities, optimizing plans through constructive challenge and continuous dialog with all functions in the matrixed teams.
  • Drive the CDT to meet or exceed the deliverables and objectives established as part of translating the strategy into an executable plan. This includes scenario planning, risk management and mitigation, problem-solving, contingency planning and decision making.
  • Work with standard budgeting and forecasting models to ensure portfolio objectives and deliverables are properly planned and accounted for in the Business plans and budgets. Work with Project Coordinators (PC) and finance to support the continuous forecasting and business plan cycles.
  • Lead Project Management Sub-teams (PMTs) to have oversight and accountability for all budget aspects of their programs, proactively manage risk and account for accurate forecasts related to FTEs and OOPs
  • Manage CDT information, documentation and team communication to ensure timeline and accurate dissemination of the CDT strategy and operational status throughout the organization and with external partners (where appropriate)
  • Partner with cross functional Leads (TA, GCDO, Statistics, Clinical pharmacology, biomarkers, clinical supplies, global medical safety, finance regulatory, DPDS) at the program level to assure E2E program oversight, supporting all program deliverables.
  • Drive planning and preparation of clinical documents required for successful Health Authority submissions and clinically related external related external committees and meetings.
  • Drive cross functional updates and completion of the Product Strategy positions (PSP) in coordination with the CDTL for relevant products within the CDT portfolio
  • Lead and manage the team through knowledge transfer process from the TA to EP, for assigned product transitions within the CDT. Ensure appropriate functional level knowledge transfer is completed and documented
  • Deploy core PML methodologies, tools, and frameworks to operationalize the strategy
  • The successful candidate will challenge the status quo and simplify work; continually question and remove burdensome processes and foster team confidence and safeguard team performance through coaching and periodic reviews of team health.
