Are you Project Management Office (PMO) Specialist looking to play a pivotal role in supporting project and program managers in successful project delivery? Join our dynamic team to work on complex and impactful IT projects where you will be essential in ensuring that all project elements are executed smoothly, effectively, and within compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
As a PMO Specialist, you will be the cornerstone of support for project and program managers, centralizing your activities around key areas such as:
- Resource and Work Planning & Control: Collaborate closely with project managers to sequence, schedule, and assign work while monitoring progress, dependencies, and deviations.
- Budget Management: Assist in creating project budgets, obtaining approvals, tracking actual costs and revenues, and providing regular budget reconciliation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Change Management: Maintain comprehensive change logs, track issues and risks, and ensure compliance with mandatory reviews and audits.
- Quality Assurance and Control: Define and implement PMO environments and toolsets tailored for each project, ensuring effective use and quality control across deliverables.
- Project Reporting: Generate complete, accurate, and timely project status reports to communicate progress effectively to all stakeholders.
- Project Setup and Compliance: Facilitate IT project setup, ensure adherence to the Project Delivery Framework (PDF), and manage data repositories and deliverables for quality and PDF compliance.
Additional Duties:
- Team Leadership: You may lead a small team of junior program control services members, guiding them in setting objectives, maintaining quality, and providing feedback.
- Project Meetings: Coordinate and track actions and outcomes from project meetings, including post-project reviews to capture and act upon lessons learned.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish a solid baseline schedule, manage resources effectively, and oversee project assurance and quality.
Qualifications
- Proven understanding of the Project Delivery Framework (PDF) and experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- 2+ years of commercial experience on a similar position
- Expertise in project setup, resource planning, budget management, and project quality assurance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, and Visio. Familiarity with Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools and templates is essential.
- Strong skills in risk and issue tracking, change management, and project documentation review for completeness and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for producing high-quality project reports and facilitating stakeholder meetings.
- Ability to onboard and guide new project managers on the PDF
Responsibilities:
PLEASE NOTE: THIS ROLE REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF THREE DAYS PER WEEK ON-SITE PRESENCE IN LONDON.
