We’re looking for PMO who will join Capco and share the best practices around establishing, maintaining and enhancing the Project Management Office to ensure that the project management standards, practices and tools are applied effectively across the financial services organization.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCES YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing a successful PMO and delivering complex projects.
- Certifications Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello) and other relevant tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Agile knowledge or experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the PMO strategy, including policies, processes, and templates that standardize project management practices across the organization.
- Define, implement, and maintain project management methodologies, tools, and templates.
- Continuously improve the PMO framework to support the evolving needs of the organization.
- Establish and enforce project governance standards, including the creation and maintenance of project charters, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with established project management methodologies and governance processes.
- Facilitate project portfolio management, including the selection, prioritization, and oversight of projects.
- Provide guidance, support, and training to project managers and teams to ensure they adhere to PMO standards.
- Offer project management expertise to address challenges, mitigate risks, and resolve issues within projects.
- Develop and deliver training programs on project management best practices, tools, and techniques.
- Coordinate and manage the allocation of resources across projects to optimize utilization and ensure project success.
- Track and report on resource capacity, availability, and utilization to inform decision-making.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for tracking project performance, resource utilization, and PMO effectiveness.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of the project portfolio, highlighting any risks, issues, or deviations from the plan.
- Analyze project data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for increasing project success rates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Facilitate communication between project teams, senior management, and other stakeholders.
- Manage expectations and ensure stakeholder satisfaction by delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
