Job Description:
We currently have an opening for a Project Manager in the Roads & Aviation Group in our Calgary, Vancouver, or Edmonton office.
You will join a dynamic, high-performance team that provides a broad spectrum of services focused on the delivery of large-scale airport infrastructure projects and programs. The successful candidate will have experience engaging with clients directly in providing innovative design solutions in the aviation sector. You will lead with a forward-thinking approach that promotes a team environment to improve overall group performance and client service. You will provide technical expertise and project management on projects for public and private sector clients with a focus on aviation related projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a leadership role in the preparation of proposals, designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents, as well as participating in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and inspection.
  • Advancing projects through the concept, design, and construction phases; managing existing clients; and developing new clients.
  • Delivering projects on budget and within identified schedules.
  • Acting as the primary contact for all project-related client communications.
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary project team to undertake major aviation projects.
  • Mentoring and coaching a team of engineers and technologists.
  • Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team as well as other disciplines and offices.

Job Requirements:

What you will bring:

  • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with any of the following: APEGA, PEGBC, NAPEG, Engineers Yukon, or eligible for registration.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Civil Engineering for public and private sector clients with a focus on the aviation sector.
  • Proven project management and business development experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel throughout Canada.
