Description:

The Section of Microbiology - Department of Biology
We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager & Personal Assistant to support the Head of Section of Microbiology and Principal Investigator (PI) of major collaborative research projects, including the EMBARQ project, a large multi-partner initiative focused on developing tools for risk evaluation of biologicals. This full-time position starts on 1 February 2025, with a 5-year fixed term contract with potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management : Oversee the EMBARQ project, coordinating meetings, reports, budgets, and timelines while ensuring smooth communication with partners
  • Personal Assistance : Manage the Head of Section’s schedule, meetings, travel, and daily administrative tasks associated to research and teaching activities
  • Event & Communication Support : Organize meetings, workshops, and events, and assist in preparing reports, presentations, and research dissemination
  • Collaboration : Serve as the central point of contact for the Head of Section, department staff, students, and external partners
