Description:

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within the insurance domain, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Agile and project management principles.
  • Delivery Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, delivery timelines, and quality standards.
  • Project and Agile Delivery Methodologies Implementation: Champion tried and tested delivery methodologies (including Scrum, Kanban, etc.) across project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitation: Initiate and embed operational delivery for teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum framework, ceremonies, and best practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Obstacle Removal: Identify and remove impediments that hinder the progress of delivery teams, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks to project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business units, IT teams, and external partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate resources, including project team members, vendors, and external consultants, to optimise productivity and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, proactively addressing issues to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with testing teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements within the insurance sector.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives with delivery teams, leveraging feedback, retrospectives, and metrics to enhance delivery processes and performance.Reporting and Metrics: Define and track project metrics and KPIs, providing regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders, and leveraging data to drive informed decision-making.

QUALIFICATION & EXPEREINCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in Agile software development environments, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry in client facing roles.
  • Strong understanding of delivery methodologies (including Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and experience leading transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing multiple changes, priorities and projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Solid understanding of technology delivery processes, including software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, and release management.Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other relevant certifications preferred.

The core purpose and function of the Claims & Assessing Division is to manage the Claims Process in order to control costs while providing our customers with a seamless and easy customer journey. The purpose of the Claims Home Digitisation team is “to deliver high performing, reliable & scalable Home Claims software which meet our users needs. We make it easier & more efficient to lodge and manage home claims.”
