By joining our Power Transmission and Distribution team as a Project Manager based in the Dundee area you will be have overall accountability for successful project delivery including; planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out on our Cabling and OHL ASTI Schemes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Hold periodic project reviews and update the Digital Briefcase
  • Ensure reports provide relevant information to enable decisions to be madewhich are informed, cost effective and in line with overall business strategy
  • Prepare and present both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders
  • Ability to interrogate designs and challenge inputs and deliverables
  • Ensure reports provide relevant information to enable decisions to be madewhich are informed, cost effective and in line with overall business strategyHealth, Safety & Environmental
  • Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes inlegislation
  • Carry out Safety & Environmental Tours/promote observation and safetyinitiatives
  • Lead Accident/Incident Investigations and monitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System and implement improvement actions
  • Review RAMS and accepting subcontractor RAMS
  • Develop H&S plan and ensure it is treated as a live document and ensure sufficiency and competency of workforce
  • Coordinate and manage all project activities and internal functions and identify and control resource to deliver works
  • Develop, implement and update resource allocations plans and raiseappropriate requests
  • Develop high performing teams, promote a pipeline of talent and assist withinternal training through supporting, guiding, motivating and empowering theteam. Using the resources available through training, mentoring andperformance management.
  • Lead risk/opportunity reviews, ownership of the Risk Register andrecommend/implement changes. Log and escalate any issues that cannot be resolved at delegated level of authority
  • Manage subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance andprogress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such thatcontractual arrangements are achieved
  • Ensure assurance activities (audits) are undertaken and take appropriateaction on findings and lead working groups on focused improvement areas
  • Monitor progress and implement Short Interval Control processes/hold weeklymeeting and ensure production of operational milestones reflect master schedule and customer expectations
