Description:

Are you an experienced Project Manager with excellent stakeholder management skills? Are you looking for a new challenge working closely with a world renowned organisation?
This role is focused on projects specifically supporting one of our key customers, the Bank of England. As part of this, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing general Project and Programme support to the Commercial Account Manager to ensure the effective governance of delivery, implementation and support of the projects and programmes for the Bank of England.
The successful candidate will also take on project management responsibility for small – medium sized projects within the programme.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to A Level standard or Equivalent
  • Prince 2 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Previous PMO and/or Junior Project Management experience is essential
  • Experience of dealing with key customer stakeholders
  • Experience of working in projects or PMO team
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with people of all levels

Responsibilities:

Project Management activities

  • Plan, define, verify & manage the scope, timeline, budget and quality of projects
  • Be held accountable for timely communication of status or critical decisions needed from accountable executives
  • Direct and be accountable for engaging stakeholders through the process of delivering projects
  • Identify, quantify, prioritise, and manage delivery risks; develop and manage project risk mitigation plans; invoke mitigation plans and escalate to strategic committee for significant contingency plan execution as necessary

PMO Activities

  • Coordinate and prepare the governance reports through gathering, analysing and summarising data and information and presenting in various reports and dashboards
  • Provide quality assurance to project management outputs e.g., reporting, change management and risk management
  • Support the Bank of England Manager in maintaining financial data
  • Carry out regular reviews of risks and issues to ensure entries are clearly articulated, impacts identified and actions in place
  • Assist with the development of PM processes, procedures and templates

Working hours: Full Time – 36.5 hrs per week (hours to be agreed locally)
Base location: Debden
