POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager will report to the Director of BC Operations and will be expected to coordinate resources from various teams, to ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager will ensure all parties are updated at all times on the progress of all ongoing projects.

EDUCATION & RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma and/ relevant post-secondary degree or diploma relevant
  • Experience in construction/facilities/engineering/telecom environment
  • 2-4 years experience in a relevant role
  • Pursuing or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified or equivalent experience
  • Experience with SAP an asset
  • Must have a valid BC Driver’s License

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees, manages and defines the project scope by developing detailed project plans, scheduling/estimating completion dates and providing updated status reports all within budget;
  • Organizes resources to ensure all requirements are in place to complete projects from conception to completion;
  • Prepares project schedules and timelines.
  • Oversees construction projects from start to finish which includes: design/permits, fibre testing, budget and project closure;
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Organizes, tracks and ensures all materials are available in time for projects and installations
  • Create and track various project reports such as lifecycle, budget and progress
  • Provide quotes and prepare budgets for all projects;
  • Track budgets and provides reports
  • Negotiate contractor rates
  • Review and update budget processes
  • Assigning individual tasks and leading the teams through the project;
  • Work closely with functional leads to build a culture of co-operation, team philosophy and focus on delivery of excellence
  • Encourage all teams to communicate effectively and develop a culture of participation and involvement;
  • Administrative reporting and internal system updates:
  • Create new projects on our project software program
  • Creates Account numbers in SAP and assigns budget amounts
  • Creates reports in SAP to determine current spending
  • Update project milestones in JIRA or other software as required
  • All other duties as assigned.
