This leading BESS company are looking for a Project Manager to join their Asset Delivery team to oversee their BESS construction pipeline throughout the UK.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of proven project management experience.
  • Degree or professional qualification in electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Project Manager will oversee the execution of BESS projects from acquisition to Project Acceptance.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role involves close collaboration with the Director of Asset Delivery and the Project Management Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage BoP, EPC, and ICP Contractors and EOM Suppliers, ensuring contractual obligations are met and project execution stays on track.
  • Oversee the relationship with DNOs post-handover, coordinating technical and commercial matters related to the connection agreement.
  • Work with the Development team on pending planning issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Serve as the primary contact for landowners regarding arrangements, complaints, and claims during construction.
  • Handle minor permits and community agreements with Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) during construction.
  • Manage consultants supporting project execution, including Technical Advisors, Health and Safety, and Environmental consultants.
  • Liaise internally on contract documents, purchase orders, change orders, and other contract modifications.
  • Drive all aspects of HSE, Quality, Contract, Design, and Construction for the projects.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Asset Delivery and Senior Project Accountant to prepare and monitor the project budget.
  • Conduct regular site visits to engage with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, taking action to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the Commercial Manager on insurance policies and contractor insurance reviews.
  • Organize preliminary surveys before construction commencement.
  • Consult the Commercial Manager on contractual disputes and coordinate supplier deliveries for free issue materials.
