JOB SUMMARY

As a Project Manager - Bid Writer, you will leverage your keen attention to detail to oversee and manage the entire bid writing process. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all bids are meticulously crafted, aligning with client requirements and organizational standards. You will coordinate with various stakeholders, manage timelines, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, compelling bids that enhance our chances of winning new projects. Your role is crucial in driving the success of our bid submissions through strategic planning and exceptional project management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 to 5 years of experience in Project Management or working towards Project Management (PMP)designation
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams)
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling content
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and information clearly and concisely.
  • Background in statistics is a plus
  • Background in market research is a plus

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

  • Project management: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze past bid responses to create accurate, compliant bids by reviewing requirements, setting tasks, verifying rules, gathering data, and simplifying technical information
  • Analyze data and explore various sources to determine optimal box sizes and organize the monthly schedule efficiently
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication by organizing meetings and ensuring all team members are informed of deadlines and expectations
  • Fulfill duties in a safe, responsible manner in keeping with plant safety guidelines, safe work practices, and applicable regulations. Wear required PPE, ensuring it is appropriate to job at hand. Keep area tidy/free of hazards and ensure safe disposal of scrap and waste.
  • Foster collaboration by working closely with the compliance team to meet bid requirements and keeping project members informed of progress, key details, and deadlines
  • Ability to do the job well with little to no direct supervision
  • Ability to effectively react to change and undertake other tasks as assigned
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation by structuring response documents meticulously, reviewing extensive materials to identify key requirements, crafting precise responses, and maintaining a shareable document repository for seamless collaboration
  • Ensure accuracy and organization by monitoring jurisdictional bid sites, managing login credentials securely, and keeping jurisdictional account information updated in Salesforce
  • Maintain a precise understanding of the marketplace bid cycle through thorough research while monitoring competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making
  • Ensure all project aspects remain on track by overseeing progress, managing task-specific employees, and maintaining alignment for timely and accurate completion
