As we continue to grow, so too does our team. We are looking for the right candidate to take on the role of Project Manager . This is a Full-Time role, based in our Port Macquarie office on the beautiful Hastings River in Port Macquarie, NSW.
The Project Manager will oversee and manage the successful delivery of a range of ship/vessel build/construction refurbishment projects within the Marine division. This role will include full responsibility for costs, schedule, performance requirements, and for ensuring that the project satisfies the requirements of the contract.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- The safe and successful delivery of projects through production, testing and acceptance with the available resources and within the constraints of quality, time, cost and performance.
- Providing effective and strong leadership to the project team to ensure achievement of project outcomes maximising benefits to Birdon and the Customer.
- Customer engagement and satisfaction to ensure repeat business.
- Full project planning, detailed scheduling, control and monitoring for work scope, budgets and schedules and overseeing the performance of project tasks for Birdon and its subcontractors and suppliers.
- Planning and coordination of project labour and resources.
- Development and distribution of weekly internal reports and monthly customer reports.
- Monitoring changes to designs, assessing effects on cost, and measuring, valuing, and negotiating variations to scope.
- Identification and tracking of risks, actions, assumptions, issues, dependencies and decisions.Ensure delivery of commercial and contractual commitments through strong stakeholder management that enhance the reputation of Birdon.
