Description:

Experienced Project Manager required for a Bulk Earthworks job located on a mine located close to Heathcote 120’ks north of Melbourne.

KEY PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong customer focus and satisfaction, margin and repeat business.
  • Expert in Leadership and People Management with a focus on the ability to create effective teams to maximise the productive ability of individuals while working on team and organisational goals.
  • Expert in performance management, relationship building, negotiation and influence.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness including head contract and subcontract understanding and management of complex technical risk.
  • Ability to form strong relationships with clients, partners, technology providers, design teams, suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Assessing subcontractors’ and suppliers’ ability to meet Integrated Management System (IMS) needs and contract works.
  • Financial management skills including demonstrated behaviours in reducing costs and meeting budgets.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) in relevant functions of Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering and/or Business.
  • Post Graduate Qualification in Business Administration, Business Management or Legal is desirable.
  • In the absence of the above tertiary qualifications, 10+ years demonstrable management experience at a senior level is required.
  • Multi discipline contract experience.
  • Experience in leading major tenders with civil engineering and landfill experience an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Civil Engineering sectors, its clients and technologies used.

  • Ensuring the successful management of the project to achieve the objectives and strategic direction of the business.
  • Continued growth and development through strong client focused engagement and delivery while supporting growth strategies.
  • Promoting a culture of business excellence within the business unit and the broader team.
  • Collaboration with stakeholders in the broader business to foster key internal partnerships and consistent business practices across all projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and environment performance through the provision of resources to maintain and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Promoting the company values and culture within the Civil & Environmental business unit.
