POSITION SUMMARY
CIMCO Refrigeration is looking for a Project Manager with 5- 10 years of construction and project management experience.
This role will appeal to you if you take pride in the quality and efficiency of the projects you oversee. You possess a sense of urgency, are a problem solver and have exceptional costing & project management skills.
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5-10 years of mechanical or refrigeration industry experience
- Technical training in mechanical engineering, or construction management is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices
- Exceptional planning and organization skills with the ability to manage a number of projects with competing priorities
- A proven track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, owners and consultants
- Trained and certified in all aspects of construction safety is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Effective and confident team leader
- Must be available to travel within the province of Quebec.
- Written and verbal communication skills: French is a must, English is an asset
- Some basic skills with AutoCad
- Working knowledge of MS-Project
Responsibilities:
- Construct Refrigeration projects (Industrial & Recreational) on budget and within established schedules in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist all stakeholders in the preparation, critical path schedules and quality control programs.
- Monitor and maintain project schedules on a regular basis (generally weekly) and keep all stakeholders informed of critical developments.
- Ensure complete customer satisfaction by keeping them well informed and exceeding their expectations.
- Plan, coordinate and manage effectively all labor, material and equipment to meet the established budget, schedule and scope of the projects.
- Fully understand and be familiar with all contract drawings and specifications in order to identify any errors, changes, omissions, cost-saving measures or potential construction issues.
- Direct, manage and control trades, suppliers, utilities and any third parties to ensure work is undertaken in the proper sequence and in full compliance with the construction program.
- Maintains and tracks billings, reports and projections and implements trade awards and construction work within financial targets and constraints
- Conduct activities in accordance with all company policies and procedures including safety and respecting the environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
