Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Leveraging our recent success in securing projects within both metro and regional Australia and bolstered by a robust pipeline of forthcoming work, we are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to enhance our Building and Construction, Commercial and Architectural team. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute across a diverse array of projects within our expansive portfolio located predominately in South Australia (SA) and the Northern Territory (NT).
Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage projects from contract award through execution and close-out successfully. The role requires effectively managing internal and external stakeholders and processes to deliver the projects on time, within budget, and with the desired outcomes aligned with the company’s objectives and values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for planning, organising, and directing the completion of projects within a given time frame, budget and scope.
  • Effective project planning, including cost and schedule estimation where required.
  • Undertake risk analysis and development of project planning artefacts.
  • Understand commercial processes, including cost control, project reporting, procurement and contract management.
  • Ensure compliance with customers and company safety, quality and business processes.
  • Ensure compliance in accordance with contract terms and conditions for the project in alignment with Company policies and procedures.
  • Build effective communication and positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Keep stakeholders updated through internal and accurate project reporting.
  • Early engagement with relevant stakeholders in the designing and cost development of projects
  • Contribute to the Construction Manager/General Manager portfolio of strategic direction and growth.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Strong commitment to Work Health & Safety and Environmental standards.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Project Manager or Senior Project Coordinator for a Head Contractor / or Managing Contractor in the commercial sector.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities working within a team.
  • Proven industry experience on $5-30m+ brown or greenfield building projects.
  • Experience in managing construction scheduling and cost/cash flow management.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration when interacting with internal & external stakeholder groups.
  • Change management, design management and ability to develop and or enhance design.
  • Proficiency using MS Project, and other MS office suite programmes.
  • Experience in Procore and Pronto or similar programs would be advantageous
  • Refined commercial acumen and experience in contract administration, claims, reporting, budget, expenditure, and finance.
  • Ability to travel to our regional construction sites as required. In return, you will be provided with LAHA and Project allowances.
  • Construction White Card and Current driver’s license.
  • National police clearance (NPC).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence security clearance (DCAC)
