ABOUT THE POST:
The Resilient Communities Team is seeking a highly motivated and suitably experienced project manager for our new community enhancement programme. This includes a focus around environmental improvement, community involvement and engagement, social action and volunteering, celebration and integration.
You will be overseeing the various elements of the community enhancement programme across the council, to ensure we can work as effectively as possible, building and strengthening relationships with partners, communities and community-based organisations. You will be confident in supporting the delivery of a range of different projects across the borough, continuously advocating for an approach where the voices of people affected are truly valued and can authentically shape the impact we make together. You will help ensure that the programme delivers on time, on budget and delivers the required outcomes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced person who can demonstrate project management, and ideally programme management skills. You will have a good understanding of health inequalities and the factors contributing to them, alongside excellent communication and facilitation skills. You will have experience of working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be experienced in project/programme management, data analysis and evaluation.
Our team prides itself on high standards with team members who must have a can-do attitude. You must be a great team player and should be able to demonstrate how you will ensure the successful delivery of services for the people of Barnsley.
Responsibilities:
Pensions Regulations have provisions to reduce pension payments in certain circumstances of those who return to work within local government service. If you are in receipt of a pension upon commencing employment with the authority, this may affect your pension entitlements and you should therefore seek advice from the relevant Pensions Authority.
