DESCRIPTION

The Project Management Analyst is responsible for successfully completing large, complex, cross-functional projects within the Information Systems department. This position provides leadership to project teams throughout the complete life-cycle of the project. This position also provides all of the necessary direction, coordination and follow-up to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, with requirements met, and with quality. The role requires strong interpersonal and expert problem-solving skills, adaptability to change and an agile mindset.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • At least 5 years of recent and proven experience as a hands-on Project Manager in delivering large scale, mission critical IT projects, having had direct responsibility for time plans, cost control, project reporting and change management, ideally in a retail/wholesale environment.
  • Experience in implementing HRIS, Workforce Management and Payroll systems for medium/large corporations.
  • Proven experience in project management tools and agile methodologies.
  • Dynamic, agile, flexible and positive approach and willingness to multitask when required.
  • Advanced documentation skills, ability to clearly document processes, requirements, problem statements and formal PMO documents.
  • Determine and control the project schedule; agendas, minutes, actions, key decisions.
  • Produce and/or contribute to detailed project proposals that allow an informed project approval decision to be made.
  • Lead with your experience with Application development and integration.
  • Proven software implementation experience and understanding of software development methodologies and lifecycles.
  • Demonstrable experience at working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to learn fast, multi-task effectively, mentor/coach others, work with minimal supervision and deliver high quality results while adhering to deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Able to manage, motivate and mentor others.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven sense of urgency and initiative with regard to problem solving.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good logical and analytical problem resolution skills.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Full Driver’s License required.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • PRINCE2, PMP qualifications or similar relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is desired.
  • Experience in implementing SAP SuccessFactors, UKG WFM and/or Frontier iChris systems for medium/large corporations.
  • Experience with Google G Suite.
  • Experience with Smartsheet and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with ServiceNow suite.
  • Experience with Scrum, DevOps and Agile.
  • Experience in implementing other corporate solutions, eg Finance, Accounting, and Logistics
  • Experience in projects with global implementation components

Responsibilities:

  • Develop project budget, manage changes to budget, and track actual project costs.
  • Deliver projects within agreed budget, time and quality constraints, whilst maintaining control of the scope and impact of changes through a formal sign off and governance process.
  • Ensure quality of the implementation, satisfaction of stakeholders and well-being of team members.
  • Work with business subject matter experts to develop and implement project management plans and ensure project success.
  • Regularly communicate with key senior stakeholders to ensure the identification and tracking of project objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong, productive relationships with internal clients, vendors and key stakeholders.
  • Ensuring timely defect, risk and change management procedures are established and maintained.
  • Applying standard structured approaches to deliver improvement requirements as identified.
  • Continuously seeking ways to improve on the provision of services and processes.
  • Close down projects through identification and summarization of lessons learned and creation of the project closedown report.
  • Mentor team members in project management artifacts, processes, tools and techniques.
  • Verification and correlation of requirements (business and technical) from multiple sources
  • As required, create, review and drive formal RFP processes and vendor selections.
