Description:
Dalcour Maclaren is an innovative and highly dynamic multi-disciplinary consultancy working on a huge range of exciting and diverse projects for a growing client base within Utilities and Infrastructure – think HS2, Offshore wind farms and Nuclear Energy! We are immensely proud to be working on some of the largest infrastructure projects taking place across the UK (and beyond!) which are instrumental in shaping the future of our planet. If you want to play your part in helping the earth become more sustainable, and to reach NetZero by 2050, you would be making the right choice by joining the team here at Dalcour Maclaren.
*PLEASE NOTE WE ARE KEEN TO SPEAK WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY OR WITHIN 2 WEEKS.*
We are seeking a passionate Project Manager to join our Transport, Telecoms, and Infrastructure team. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape our HS2 Land & Property workflows, driving our mission to deliver excellence in contract management, financial oversight, and people development.
Responsibilities:
- Innovation Focus: We are committed to continuous improvement and innovation. You’ll have the freedom to introduce new processes and ideas, making a significant impact on our projects. We are keen for the successful candidate to prioritise innovation in 2025 and beyond.
- Team Management: With line management responsibilities, you’ll mentor and grow junior team members across our Birmingham and Bicester offices. Lead the Project Management team, support workflow and resource management for a team of 10-15 surveyors, and foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.
- Contract Management: Oversee rate increases, manage CV approvals, and ensure compliance with KPIs. You’ll be the primary contact for client communications and monthly reporting, as well as attending monthly contract meetings with the client. There is an opportunity to work with our data & reporting team to build more efficient reporting using PowerBI, ESRI, etc.
- Finance Management: Lead monthly forecasting meetings, manage client billing, and maintain financial dashboards. We would love the successful candidate to streamline these processes, supported by an existing team dedicated to finance tasks.
- Subcontractor Management: Onboard and manage subcontractors, ensuring all work is within scope and billed appropriately.
- Sector Support: Join the Infrastructure sector, known for its strong support network and culture of collaboration. You’ll be part of a team that values each other’s success and works together to achieve common goals. You will manage one of our four key client groups. Infrastructure was the first area of the business to introduce Project Management to DM, and we continue to lead in this area.
- Opportunities for Development: As part of the newly formed Transport, Telecoms, and Infrastructure sector, you’ll have access to numerous opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be part of our Operational Delivery leadership team, reporting against the annual business plan and steering the sector on project management activities. Additionally, you will have opportunities to sponsor or lead sector business plan projects outside of your day-to-day workflow, offering role variety and a chance to broaden your skills.
