About the Opportunity
Acciona are in a work winning phase of development and due to continued strong growth, we are looking to complement our pre-established team with the addition of an experienced Project Manager to lead and grow the Defence portfolio for our construction business.
Based out of South Australia, you will help drive our continued growth and expansion into the Defence sector. The ideal candidate will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at securing new business opportunities and enhancing client relationships within the Defence sector. This role requires excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. We create a positive impact in the regions where we operate, and we are committed to building a better future for all.

Key accountabilities for the position will be:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive work winning strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
  • Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations for new business opportunities.
  • Manage the end-to-end proposal process, including research, writing, editing, and submission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, insights, and resources needed for proposals.
  • Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations to senior management on work winning activities and outcomes
  • Transition work winning initiatives into the delivery phase of the projects/opportunities.

Required Skills and Competencies

What Capability & Experience will you need to have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of work winning strategies, proposal processes, and Defence procurement and delivery methods
  • Extensive construction experience on large-scale infrastructure Construction Projects preferably in the Defence sector
  • Experience in team leadership management and motivation and communication skills
  • Adept in planning, commercial acumen and organisation of work schedules
  • Available for short term travel to facilitate business growth and relationships in the Defence sector.
