Description:

JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a proven track record of delivering railway communication-related projects such as PA systems, CCTV, Information display systems, and Network infrastructure.
  • Experience in managing LTA railway and Singapore Government projects is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in the following technology areas will be advantageous:BIM modeling/Micro-station 3D CADPrimavera P6 Scheduling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with external customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to report on project and deployment progress and plans.
  • A good team player with strong leadership qualities.
  • Project Management Certifications such as PMP are preferred.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with clear priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively under tight timelines in a complex customer environment.

Responsibilities:

  • The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for leading the project team to meet or exceed customer contractual requirements for the successful delivery of the project.
  • Reporting to the Project Director, the PM will develop, update, and maintain the project plan and schedule. Responsibilities include managing project scope, monitoring project costs and forecasts, and developing/maintaining the project quality plan. The PM will also be responsible for developing and updating the project risk management plan and the project team organization chart, as well as planning and executing project communications and reporting.
  • The PM will work closely with the Sales Team to manage project procurement and will oversee the communications, reporting, and expectations of both internal and external project stakeholders.
  • The project team reporting to the Project Manager will include Solution Architect, Technical Lead, Developers/System Engineers, Testers, and Support Engineers. The team will also receive support from Product Specialists, Technical Subject Matter Experts, and System Engineers as needed to meet specific project scope and responsibilities.
  • The PM will also support pre-sales activities, focusing on technical solutions, effort and timeline estimation, and the project delivery aspects of tender/RFP proposals and presentations.
