Description:
DMB Engineering is a long established and highly respected multidiscipline contracting group specialising in major construction projects within the resource sector in Australia. DMB Engineering values safety above all else and believes in our Journey to Zero harm.
We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified Project Manager for our current Substation, Switchyard and Tunnel projects within QLD and NSW.
This role will report to the Operations Manager and will provide support across several projects. You will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual expertise during the pre-contract and project delivery stage to ensure that projects are commercially successful whilst providing governance to the systems and processes to ensure compliance.
The Head Office is located in Brisbane, QLD. The successful candidate will require sound project management experience to ensure that projects are completed to appropriate technical, work health & safety, environmental, budget, time, statutory and quality standard requirements to work on Substation, Switchyard and Tunnel projects within QLD and NSW.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A track record in a similar role where you have managed complex contracts in transport infrastructure
- Ability to educate, coach and support Project Managers
- The ability to draw on your team’s expertise to innovate and add value
- Proven commercial acumen
- Ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team
- High standard of communication and report writing skills, personal integrity and professionalism

Pay: $170,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality and timely commercial and contractual advice to the Operations Manager
- Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial requirements
- Monitor and report to management on project progress, cost and performance against program and budget targets using corporate tools
- Develop standard contractual documents to cater for a diverse range of clients and suppliers
- Work with the management teams on the development and implementation of strategies for managing contractual issues
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions agreement with clients
- Manage contract risk and liabilities
