Join the Emtec Facility Services projects team and make a real impact on a prestigious contract, delivering multiple building fabric and hard service remedial work projects. We are seeking dynamic individuals based in Northwest England or the Scottish Borders to cover the M6, M62 and M74 corridor, bringing their facilities management expertise and passion for excellence to our team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We seek motivated individuals with a strong background in building fabric, construction or M&E trade, who thrive in a team oriented, customer focused environment. Ideals candidates should have:

  • Previous management experience on live construction sites
  • Experience as Principal Contractor under CDM2015 Regulations
  • Experience dealing with main contractors, principal designers, cost consultants, quantity surveyors and health & safety consultants.
  • Building fabric or mechanical and electrical background in FM
  • Experience of interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Experience in sub-contractor and people management
  • Experience collating, producing, and managing Construction phase information
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Happy and willing to travel to sites throughout the UK when required
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package
  • Excellent decision maker with good problem-solving skills
  • Hold a valid SMSTS qualification

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This is a varied and exciting role where you will take projects from inception, through financing, construction to practical completion, ensuring excellence and efficiency at every stage. Key responsibilities include:

  • Site Health and Safety Management
  • Principal Contractor site management and mobilisation
  • Working to CDM2015 Regulations
  • Managing main contractors, sub-contractors and directly employed regional projects supervisors
  • Liaising with client and stakeholders
  • Developing scope of projects and cost control and managing quality of site works
  • Managing all client SLA’s associated with project framework delivery
  • Coordinating with our supply chain to confirm construction phase arrangements, identifying gaps and resource requirements.
  • Supporting the projects team in pricing individual projects and work packages.
  • Deliver initial Inductions, and inspecting site set-ups before work progresses.
  • Liaising with subcontractors to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place and maintained throughout the project.
  • Attending site meetings and actively participating in discussions.
  • Completing final inspections to identify snagging and arrange for remedial work. Ensuring projects are completed to the client’s satisfaction.
