Your role
You’ll be part of the Engineering Team helping to design Sheet Piling solutions for infrastructure projects worldwide. As project manager, you will play a vital role in helping turn ideas into solutions that add value to the project and ultimately the Client. You will be responsible for elaborating the engineering design of a variety of infrastructure projects, ensuring a clear benefit to the Client.

Main tasks

  • Master the use of in-house and commercial software on the design of retaining structures. Conduct Finite Element Method design.
  • Elaborate structural designs for steel sheet pile retaining structures for projects worldwide. Geotechnical design and verification of steel foundation solutions including further global stability checks.
  • Seismic design with different approaches (quasi-static and fully dynamic).
  • Master necessary design standards, Eurocodes (especially EN 1990, EN 1991, EN1993, EN 1997 and EN 1998) and relevant product standards
  • Prepare specific technical statements.
  • Collaborate well with colleagues in the Sales Team, to arrive at the optimum solution for the Client.
  • Participate in physical or digital project meetings and be prepared to elaborate on the engineering solution proposed.
  • Collaborate with R&D on various development projects and provide input as necessary.
  • Participate as an instructor in trainings of colleagues and external parties to the Sheet Piling Solutions
  • Follow health and safety responsibilities as required by regulatory and company policy.

What we’re looking for

  • University degree at Masters level in Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineering. Ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Engineering specialization.
  • Experience in Engineering Design of infrastructure. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of engineering design experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of engineering software tools. Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of engineering design experience with Finite Elements.
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes. Experience with other standards is appreciated.
  • Fluency in English both verbal and written. Additional languages are considered a plus.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment
  • Creativity and critical thinking skills
  • Collaborative mindset, team player
  • Effective communication skills, report writing and oral presentation

It’s a plus if you also have the following

  • Valid Engineering Licence from the Accreditation Entity of the country of registration (e.g. Institute of Civil Engineers for the U.K.)
  • Experience in Design / Construction of major infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of French and/or German.

Other important details

  • Full-time position, based in Luxembourg
  • The position is predominantly office based – some travelling to approximately 20% of the time could be required.
