We have a full-time position for a Project Manager, Enterprise Resource Planning in Langley, BC.
The project manager will focus initially on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementations with the potential to take on different and exciting projects beyond the ERP due to future opportunities and demands of the business. The scope of the ERP project includes all of Black Diamond’s business units, departments, and locations.
Reporting to the EVP & CIO or designate, the Project Manager will manage the transition of our legacy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System to a cloud ERP Solution, encompassing numerous integrations into the new ERP and the ultimate decommissioning of the existing ERP. This is a major project and an exciting opportunity for a high-caliber ERP Project Manager who has extensive experience in managing high profile ERP projects.
The Project Manager will ensure that all project requirements, resources, costs, and schedules are on track and manage all aspects of the project. This role provides the individual with great exposure to Black Diamond Groups’ business and requires someone who is up for a challenge. They will have extensive experience in monitoring and managing project progress, managing issues and risks, and implementing changes where necessary. They will be proficient in providing strategic advice and in preparing and delivering reports to the Executive Leadership team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand project business cases and execute in alignment with the goals and objectives outlined therein
  • Build, manage, lead, and inspire a high-performance multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, customer focused outcomes
  • Engage and communicate with key stakeholders to provide project progress updates, drive decisions and issue resolutions
  • Coordinate with the project steering committee and ensure communication is appropriate to build awareness of the project and cultural change management across the organization
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and projectdelivery dates are clearly communicated, understood, and executed upon
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope to foresee and identify potential problems and proactively work with project teams to identify solutions to address them in advance
  • Manage senior stakeholders in a complex operating environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of dedicated project management experience, preferably with IT projects
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies; Project Management Professional (PMP) designation considered an asset
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, on budget and within scope
  • Experience seeing projects through their full life cycle
  • Minimum 3 full cycle large ERP implementation projects completed as the main/sole Project Manager
  • Proven track record of delivery as a Project Manager on ERP software projects, preferably leading major ERP transition and/or ERP migration Projects
  • Demonstrated change management skills (leading and managing organizational change projects)
  • Ability to work with large scale ERP projects with Tier 1 ERP solutions (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, etc.) or Tier 2 ERP solutions (NetSuite)
  • Very strong visual presentation, verbal, and written communication skills along with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy-to-understand business terms to all levels of management and staff
  • An ability to interact in both functional and technical areas
  • Attention to detail and willingness to get involved and be hands on, to ensure smooth delivery of the project
  • Strong organizational skills and sense of priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors
  • Experience with project management software, including MS Project and MS Planner
