JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Manager/ Estimator to join our company. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. As a Project Manager /Estimator, you will be responsible for evaluating project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with customers, on site personnel, engineers to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise in construction estimating and project management will be crucial in delivering precise and timely estimates and project Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field 10 Years experience preferred.
• Understanding, knowledge and proficiency in Civil construction and Rail work would be an asset.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and construction processes.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• A degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of IHSA COR Program an Asset.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessments and Construction Safety an asset

  Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Expected start date: 2025-01-2

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive project estimates.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam to streamline the estimating process if preferred.
• Collaborate with project managers, customers, superiors and engineers to understand project requirements and scope.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and contracts for future reference.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members throughout the estimating and project management process.
