Project Manager/Estimator

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator/manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. As a Project Estimator/manager, you will be responsible for evaluating project specifications, preparing accurate estimates, and managing of the projects to ensure successful execution.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics is essential.
• Experience with Civil 3D and Bluebeam software is preferred.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Previous experience in project management or construction management is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven experience in project management and estimating in construction or paving.
• Familiarity with paving equipment, materials, and processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
• Valid driver’s license (if site visits are necessary).

  Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
  Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine the scope of work.
• Utilize construction management software to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Collaborate with team to develop project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
• Prepare and present detailed proposals, including material take-offs and labor costs.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and related documentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure competitive bidding.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the estimating and management process.
• Oversee paving projects from initiation to completion.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and ensure quality control.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards.
