Summary
We are looking for a “Project Manager External Production (f/m/d)” for the “Electronics Planning” department at the Ulm site as soon as possible.
The position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the transfer process of internally produced orders to external manufacturing partners. In this position, you will be the interface between internal departments such as project management, quality management, technology and production as well as external service providers and suppliers. The external service can be provided as an extended workbench or as a complete purchased part.

Your Tasks

• Coordination and monitoring of the transfer process from internally produced orders to external production partners
• Developing and introducing a standardized changeover process from in-house to external production
• Ensuring a smooth process between the production, purchasing, development and project departments involved
• Definition and procurement of all necessary requirements for external commissioning (documents, quantities, scope, cadences)
• Monitoring and reporting on the progress of individual conversions and stakeholder management
• Identification of optimization potential in the procurement process and implementation of corresponding measures
• Communicating with external partners and suppliers to ensure quality and adherence to deadlines
• Support in the selection of suitable suppliers and service providers
• Preparation and initiation of make-or-buy decisions
• Organizing the provision of materials or their transfer to the external service provider in cooperation with central planning departments and purchasing

Willingness to travel occasionally is a prerequisite.

Your Profile

• Completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, business administration or similar
• Several years of professional experience in production control, purchasing or comparable positions
• Experience in planning and managing external service providers and suppliers
• Knowledge of materials management and purchasing
• Knowledge of the production process for printed circuit boards is advantageous
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• High assertiveness
• Business fluent in German and English
