DaVita is currently seeking a Manager of Finance to join its National Hospital Services Finance Team. The Manager will work as part of a highly strategic team that supports DaVita’s inpatient dialysis patients and field operations, helping to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence for the Hospital Services Group nationwide. Responsibilities will include overseeing the financial modeling process for business development, as well as supporting the team’s financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions and other strategic business initiatives. The Manager will be based in DaVita’s world headquarters in Denver, CO.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, quantitative disciplines preferred
  • 4+ years in finance, consulting, or relevant business analytics role
  • Extensive experience with financial modeling and familiarity working with large, complex Excel files
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to properly digest complicated data sets or business scenarios to provide creative & efficient solutions
  • Team-player able to work collaboratively within HSG Finance and alongside our stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills to share recommendations to team leaders and key stakeholders through verbal and written presentations
  • Experience with Oracle Essbase/SmartView, Anaplan, Microsoft SQL, and Tableau a plus

Responsibilities:

Financial Modeling & Contracting

  • Ownership of pro forma pricing models for hospital contracts, with an emphasis on driving continuous improvement to refine model accuracy and enhance user experience
  • Lead the financial modeling process for all national hospital system negotiations, and partner with the Sr. Director of Account Management on various initiatives to drive growth
  • Work closely with field leaders to review & approve local pricing proposals
  • Serve as the finance liaison to DaVita’s compliance department, overseeing compliance-related projects such as tracking the financial health of hospital accounts, driving enhancements to the internal contract review process, etc.

    Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Prepare detailed analyses of Hospital Services financial results, variance to budget, tracking to forecast, etc. on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Assist with the annual budgeting process, specifically around setting guidance, refining forecast models, and providing budgeting support to field leaders
  • Partner with Accounting & Revenue Operations to monitor delinquent balances, track & report on contractual KPIs, assist with monthly P&L adjustments, etc.

    Data Analytics & Other Business Initiatives

  • Support team’s reporting & analytics capabilities, with a particular emphasis on building out reporting efficiencies

  • Provide detailed analyses of key operational data to measure the ongoing performance of the Hospital Services business
  • Partner with Sr. Director of Strategy & Operations on strategy-related projects
  • Support field teammates with ad hoc questions and analyses
