Summary
For the “OMNI Detection” division, we are looking for a Project Manager for Missile Warning Systems (f/m/d) at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible.
The department is responsible for the product management of passive missile and laser warning systems for airborne, predominantly military platforms as well as the handling of corresponding international customer and internal development projects.
The interdisciplinary project teams are made up of team members from Finance, Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Configuration Management, Production and Sales, among others, and work in a national and international environment to achieve project goals and acquire new projects and customers.

Your Tasks

  • Handling of international customer projects in the field of missile warning systems for airborne platforms
  • Managing and ensuring the cooperation of all necessary stakeholders in an international environment during the entire project phases
  • Achieving project goals, particularly with regard to costs, time and performance/quality, including proactive risk & opportunity and claim & waiver management
  • Initiating, managing and coordinating all measures necessary to achieve the objectives in the organizational units involved
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of the division’s strategic tasks, with the aim of market-related development of products and future concepts, expanding market share and ensuring the implementation and follow-up of this strategy in the area of responsibility
  • Acquisition support and the preparation of offers based on customer inquiries to achieve our international growth targets
  • Active contribution to the good team spirit of our department and to a strong corporate culture

Your Profile

  • Completed university degree, preferably in engineering, industrial engineering or business management and several years of professional experience in project management
  • Experience in managing complex military projects with several subcontractors
  • Experience in bid preparation and contract negotiations in an international environment
  • Knowledge/experience in the field of aerospace and/or defense, ideally especially knowledge of self-protection systems
  • Independent, solution-oriented work, ability to work under pressure and very good communication skills
  • Experience of working in international teams and as an interface to a wide range of organizational units and customers
  • Confident manner in an international, military environment and when conducting negotiations
  • Business fluent in German and English
