Summary
For the “Airborne SIGINT” division, we are looking for a “Project Manager for Reference and Training Facility (m/f/d)” at the Ulm location as soon as possible.
The “Airborne SIGINT” division is responsible for delivering a weapon system to the German customer via an airborne reconnaissance system consisting of three mission aircraft equipped with a reconnaissance system, a ground station, a reference facility, and a training facility.

Your Tasks

  • Technical management of the subproject “Reference and Training Facility,” including project planning and execution according to the overall project’s framework conditions
  • Provision of the (SIGINT Emitter) simulation environment and the flight characteristics of the aircraft
  • Integration of the SIGINT airborne segment
  • Incorporation/verification of test cases into the overall system
  • Mission planning, verification, validation, and evaluation/analysis of SIGINT missions
  • Commissioning, controlling, and managing subcontractors
  • Participation in the preparation of proposals and contract amendments for clients and subcontractors
  • Technical leadership and coordination of the interdisciplinary team, including procurement, system development, technical development, quality, and configuration management
  • Monitoring and reporting of project progress to the project management of the major project
  • Active implementation of risk and opportunity management, as well as claim and waiver management, including agreement and tracking of the required measures with external suppliers/subcontractors and internal functions

For this position, a willingness to travel for business is essential.

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in natural sciences, economics, engineering sciences, or a comparable qualification
  • Many years of experience in the setup of reference facilities and test environments
  • Proven experience in project management of complex subprojects as well as PMI certification
  • Several years of experience in technical acceptance with customers
  • Knowledge in the management of subcontractors
  • Proven professional experience in handling and processing BAAIN contracts
  • High communication and teamwork skills, as well as persuasive and conflict resolution competence
  • Fluent German and English skills
