Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our remote sensing projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of satellite data, particularly within the Copernicus program, and a proven track record in managing projects from inception to completion. This role requires a dynamic individual who can coordinate with various stakeholders, manage project timelines and budgets, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality remote sensing solutions.

Tätigkeit:

  • Lead and manage remote sensing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks as they arise
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring the highest standards of data quality and analysis
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met
  • Prepare and deliver project proposals, reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders
  • Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

Voraussetzungen:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on remote sensing and satellite data
  • Proven experience with the Copernicus program and its data products (e.g., Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2), experience with down stream services is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of remote sensing principles, techniques, and applications
  • Proficiency in using remote sensing software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, ENVI, ERDAS Imagine)
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and processing is an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and build relationships with clients and partners
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed for project meetings and site visits
  • Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus
