ABOUT YOU:

Alongside your industry applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent, to be successful in this role, you will have a wealth of experience in working within the water and or sewage industries.
We’re seeking a strong team player, who is also able to work well as an individual with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines.
Attending sites and projects, we’d also like you to have you CSCS card and IOSH or CITD 5 Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS).

Responsibilities:

An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team at Galliford Try within our Environment Business.
Ideally, you will based in or around the Durham area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
You will work on our Northumbrian Water Frameworks within our Environment Business, who are experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across both Treatment Waste and Water schemes.
Reporting to the Delivery Manager, supporting the Project Delivery Team, you will be responsible for the project management of Mechanical, Electrical and Civil installation schemes.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the daily management of multiple concurrent projects across the Framework to ensure the successful delivery of the projects against the project KPI’s, ensuring that all projects are delivered in accordance with current Health & Safety regulations, including CDM regulations, & Environmental legislation.
Your role forms an essential link in the supply chain, you will closely liaise with other departments, such as tendering and design, to ensure resources are correctly allocated and client requirements are fully achieved. It will be your role to co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installations and construction teams. You’ll show flexibility, resilience, and the ability to influence and build relationships. Demonstrating strong ethical standards with openness and honesty.
As Project Manager, you will assume responsibility of the financial performance of each project with overall responsibility for Profit/Loss on contracts undertaken. You will participate in monthly financial reviews for all schemes with the Commercial Manager, ensuring that all Project Engineers have prepared accurate financial performance reports.
Entrepreneurism is at the heart of or business, you will take an active role in developing, in conjunction with the Project Planner, a detailed project programme ensuring that it is maintained to drive the project to key deliverable milestones. You will play a pivotal role in ascertaining preliminary and detailed design/project requirements and solutions with the Project Delivery team to lead the way in optimisation and performance.
