Role Summary
The purpose of this role is to lead water and sewer infrastructure projects within the Land Development division, driving project success and contributing to the future of GS Construction. You will be responsible for the following:
- Lead project planning, development, and scheduling to align with client goals and regulatory requirements.
- Balance needs of multiple projects at differing stages of development.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) to meet project and client standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Manage budgets and financial oversight, adjusting as needed to avoid overruns.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and clients, ensuring clear communication.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, overseeing performance and contract compliance.
- Inspire and lead project teams, providing mentorship and fostering continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports and maintain documentation to track project progress and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum 5 years of civil construction project management experience.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline or trades background (equivalent of education and experience will also be considered).
- In-depth knowledge of underground utility construction methods, equipment, and materials.
- PMP certification is an asset.
- Confident and articulate communicator in large group settings.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in scheduling, reporting, and documentation software.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
