As a Project Manager, you will plan, lead, and safely manage one or more of Heathrow’s capital programmes, to ensure an integrated, sustainable, and effective solution is delivered, including the management of safety, cost, time, quality and performance.
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for working with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered according to the brief, schedule and budget.
The PM will lead a multi-disciplinary team of subject matter experts, contractors and sub-contractors with a wide and varied skill base. The PM will be required to ensure that the contract(s) are managed and administered successfully and that the project benefits have been realised.
- Planning, leading and managing the project team to ensure an integrated, sustainable and effective solution is delivered which meets the project brief and benefits realisation.
- Establishing strong working relationships with key stakeholders and ensure that all user requirements are captured, and approvals are in place to meet schedule dates, as well as understanding regulatory requirements.
- End to end execution planning and management, ensuring clear goals, roles and deliverables are well defined to ensure delivery of the goals and value for money of the expenditure.
- Responsibility for the Safety of everyone involved or touched by the project.
- Ensuring the integration of design, development, construction delivery, commissioning and process requirements is achieved using the subject matter experts in the team (including own expertise as appropriate).
- Accountability for reporting of project performance using project controls tools, including earned value and quantitative risk analysis.
- Ensuring the project deliverables have been tested, commissioned and handed into operation in accordance with Heathrow requirements.
- Ensuring post project reviews are done and learning and benefits realisation are captured.
- Proven track record in planning and implementation of complex projects, within a live operational environment, with multiple stakeholder interfaces.
Experience in a range of capital / revenue projects with a clear understanding of project management particularly APM.Professional qualifications (membership of an appropriate institution) or evidence demonstrating continued personal development.
