POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction (Water & Sewer) will oversee the successful execution of key infrastructure projects. You will ensure project quality, safety, and timelines while fostering strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7-10 years of experience managing heavy civil construction projects, specifically in water and sewer related infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of engineering legislation, environmental standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, as well as municipal design applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading project teams: Mentor and guide Superintendents, Project Coordinators, and Quality Control Coordinators to achieve project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
- Client and stakeholder liaison: Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, addressing concerns and ensuring seamless communication.
- Overseeing project planning: Develop RFQs and RFPs, manage tendering and contracting processes, and ensure smooth project execution.
- Enforcing safety standards: Implement robust safety protocols and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitoring project performance: Track progress, control costs, and assess performance metrics to deliver projects on time and within budget while addressing risks proactively.
- Engaging with communities and stakeholders: Collaborate with government representatives, elected officials, and external utilities while conducting public consultations and addressing inquiries professionally.
