    With over 10 years of industry experience, our Newcastle based client is a leader in Structural Steel Fabrication & Erection. They specialise in structural steel fabrication, structural steel installation, shop detailing and 3D modelling for the commercial, industrial, retail, and residential sectors from Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter Valley, Mid North Coast and beyond. They are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their team working on Tier 1 projects.

Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is a key position within the Projects delivery team, it encompasses all facets of project delivery including safety, quality, program delivery and budgeting.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Determining necessary resources (staffing, equipment, and materials) for entire projects giving attention to budget limitations and time frames.
  • Collaboration with draftsmen to determine project specifications.
  • Conducting frequent site inspections.
  • Managing day-to-day aspects of projects.
  • Preparing and managing the RFI process.
  • Ensuring effective tracking of job costs and provide relevant financial reports including monthly progress claims.
  • Tracking changes in design and prepare variations
  • Managing key relationships and build rapport with key customers and suppliers.
  • Negotiating with suppliers, contractors and customers to achieve financial outcomes and deliverables.
  • Implementation and maintenance of safety, quality and environmental strategies, policies and standards.
  • Leading and driving project tracking and performance to plan and support the current and emerging business needs.
  • Leading the people related change around systems and behaviors to suit the businesses expected standards
