Description:
Groupe Conseil UDA Inc. (UDA) is looking for a project manager for its hydrogeology team to complete its team of specialists who have over 60 years of experience in conducting hydrogeological studies. The team has completed mandates in over 200 cities and municipalities for groundwater research and water vulnerability analysis projects.
UDA’s multidisciplinary team includes agricultural, forestry and geological engineers, agronomists, liaison officers with varied profiles, biologists, agricultural drainage specialists, geographers, draftsmen (AutoCAD), geomatics and geographic information system specialists, environmental monitoring specialists, agricultural and forestry technicians, wildlife technicians and administrative staff.
Reporting to the Director of Hydrogeology, the Project Director will be responsible for leading projects involving hydrogeological studies, groundwater research, well construction, aquifer management, various hydrogeological expertise and water vulnerability analysis.
REQUIREMENTS AND TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in geological engineering and/or master’s degree in hydrogeology;
- Minimum of six (6) years of professional experience relevant to hydrogeology;
- Effective time management and decision-making skills;
- Excellent communication skills in French, both orally and in writing;
- Excellent interpersonal skills interpersonal and communication skills;
- Possess a good knowledge of provincial regulations on water withdrawals;
- Autonomy, initiative and attention to detail, ability to work in a team and in a dynamic environment;
- Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the department, including organizing weekly resource coordination and planning meetings;
- Design, supervise and carry out work/investigation programs;
- Supervise drilling, testing, soil and groundwater sampling;
- Produce and monitor plans, specifications and other technical documents;
- Analyze and interpret hydrogeological data;
- Manage ongoing projects, including resources, budgets and schedules;
- Write reports and prepare water withdrawal authorization requests;
- Participate in preparing service offers and service delivery;
- Work in collaboration with all the company’s departments for the implementation of projects;
- Promote and implement the occupational health and safety prevention program.
