1. POSITION SUMMARY

The project manager’s primary responsibility is to plan, budget, document, and oversee the successful execution of upstream and midstream oil & gas projects. The resource is considered to be familiar with project execution plans, project schedules, document control practices, and has a technical understanding of industrial deliverables. The project manager will take the lead on projects, client meetings, and site walk-downs in the field. The project manager will be responsible for deploying CANUSA EPC project management tools and processes, participate in quality control activities, and mentor intermediate project manager.
This position will also serve as a client-facing representative of the Employer, requiring the resource to communicate with clients as needed and support the installed base of CANUSA EPC clients. The project manager may be required to travel to customer sites, events, or training related to business activities for the Employer.

3. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:
· Proficient in Word, Excel & Projects
· Exposure to Oil & Gas related codes and standards (ASME, NEC, etc)
· Exposure to P&IDs and Electrical / Control Diagrams
· Exposure to Piping Diagrams and Specifications
· Proficient in the processes involved in Gas Handling and Gas Processing facilities
· Commercial Negotiation Skills and working knowledge of standard oil and gas project-related terms and conditions
· Working Knowledge of oil & gas project constructability & logistics requirements
· Working Knowledge of PMI

4. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum level of 4 years’ experience managing projects of various sizes.
· Minimum level of 2 years’ experience in upstream and midstream oil and gas
· A successful candidate will have various experiences working at or with EPCMs, Producers and Midstream Companies.
· Previous role at a Design, Engineering, Construction Management or Operations background focused on Oil & Gas facilities and pipeline systems.

5. EDUCATION / DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business
· P-Eng Certification
· Oil & Gas Construction or Operations Training
· A valid driver’s license
· A passport and eligible travel to/from Canada and USA

6. LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings.
· Written Communication—the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate with Project Stakeholders
· Create Project Plans and Related Documentation
· Plan, Oversee and Manage Project Procurements
· Compile Project Progress, Forecast & Control Reports
· Control and Monitor Engineering, Fabrication and Automation Teams on Project Deliverables and Work Performance
· Plan and Maintain Project Schedules
· Perform Quality Control
· Oversee and coordinate sub-contractors
· Integrate Project Change Management
· Responsible for the successful execution of Projects following PMI guidelines
· Promote CANUSA EPC sales and business in the local area
· Understanding and practice of CANUSA EPC safety standards while performing business-related services
· Participate in team meetings
· Meet technical team department productivity and quality goals
· Perform to CANUSA EPC engineering standards, policies, or details
· Work requires travel to meetings, site visits, and inspections
· Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
