We have an opportunity for a Project Manager I to join our Industrial Automation team in Milan.
As A Project Manager I you will be working on the planning and execution of the assigned projects from order through final sign off after full scope of supply delivery, with the supervision of a senior PM.
The Project Manager I exhibits the correct aptitude to solve working problems, he/she is able to communicate and collaborate, both internally and externally, to complete the assigned tasks and projects. In addition, the Project Manager I is willing to understand our competitive arena and customers, as well as showing initiative to learn and continuously improve company processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree is required (BSc or MSc) in Industrial, Economics and Business Engineering or Business Management / Economics are preferred.
- Experience in project management or related field is desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimal customer interaction experience is a plus.
- Project Management certification is welcome.
SKILLS
- Aptitude to learn customer business models, their go-to-market strategies, how they make money, and how to link that to the needs we are capable of fulfilling.
- Proactive and driven for results.
- Oriented to build credibility with customers.
- Basic knowledge of methods and processes associated with operations and implementation of project execution.
- Knowledge in using Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft Project is welcome.
- Aptitude to leverage internal and external resources to keep projects on track.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Fluent level of Italian C1-C2 required,
- English B2- C1 required.

Responsibilities:
Listed in order of relevance:
- Report project progresses from order to final sign off. Take care of budgeting, planning activities and priorities, trigger invoicing, organize project meetings (kick-off, progress and close-out) and testing activities.
- Clarify the scope of supply and project boundaries internally and with customers, understand project roadblocks and work to remove them with the supervision of a senior PM role.
- Create and manage project schedules, change orders, understand contractual & commercial terms and it’s driven to deliver on time and within budget;
Update ERP system with project activities, status and dates, in order to support revenue forecasting, milestones invoicing, resources loading forecasting and material procurement and manufacturing;
Update project financials throughout project life (Estimate At Completion - EAC), report project financials achievement (GP%) and make sure customers are satisfied (Net Promoter Score “NPS” results. He/she is willing to meet company’s target for customer satisfaction and project financials;
Communicate with sub-vendors, including monitoring their deliverables and supplies in adherence with the PO (time and scope);
- Check the adherence to project process compliance and ISO 9000, in collaboration with the Project Engineering Team.
