About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead and manage our IT projects with a specific focus on finance-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in IT project and project management, with proven expertise in the finance sector. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects related to finance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with senior management, business units, and external stakeholders to understand project requirements, set expectations, and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Project Planning and Execution: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Ensure that all projects within the project are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, analysts, and other IT professionals. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Financial Management: Oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reporting for the project. Ensure financial discipline and effective cost management across all projects.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery. Regularly assess project risks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and comply with relevant industry regulations and company policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote the adoption of best practices in project and project management. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, tools, and methodologies.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong background in finance-related projects.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello), ERP systems, and financial software. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Finance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of finance processes, regulations, and industry standards. Experience in managing projects involving financial systems, accounting software, or banking applications is highly desirable.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage large, complex projects with cross-functional teams. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and process improvement.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications are preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Self-driven with a strong sense of personal accountability.
- Comfortable working in a high-level fast paced IT environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
