Description:
DESCRIPTION:
As Junior Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the Oracle Greening project focused on updating end of life versions of Oracle databases for a large portfolio of applications to the latest supported version (Oracle 19c). You will work closely with Sr Project Managers and cross-functional teams, I&IT professionals, and leadership to lead and enable this evergreening initiative. Candidate must be a strong self-starter who knows how to finesse relationships while keeping the big picture in mind.
In this role, you will:
• Develop and manage strategic communication and change management strategies throughout the different phases of the projects (development to implementation) to meet the established goals and objectives.
• Provide business analysis expertise to navigate enterprise-wide strategies, produce data analytics and draft briefing materials and dashboards to tell the stories to application owners and build consensus.
• Build strong partnerships taking an inclusive approach with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders who have diverging perspectives to ensure that all adhere to best practices and standard approaches.
• Develop project related strategies / frameworks by anticipating potential issues and provides risk mitigations and recommendations.

- Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Project Manager
- Knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Proven experience facilitation of client meetings/workshops, interpretation of business needs to technical requirements
- Experience creating and documenting project plans and status reports
- Experience with Agile development concepts and methodologies
- Strong technical and business aptitude
- Persistent attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (clear & concise)
- Self-motivated leader with strong interpersonal skills
- Advanced skills in Office365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Visio
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver within extremely tight deadlines
- Previous government experience is an asset
- Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills to work seamlessly in an agile cross-functional team, with clients, vendor(s) and other stakeholders.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS (40%):
• Knowledge or Expertise in applying project management theory, methodologies and techniques to provide overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects ensuring consistency with mandate, objectives and strategies.
• Knowledge of issues management, communication and change management principles to assist clients and stakeholders with change management activities.
• Experience or ability to develop and manage multiple mini-project plans concurrently, and preparing project plans for approval with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of IT systems, tools, workflow and databases to develop micro-implementation plans.
ANALYTICAL AND STRATEGIC THINKING SKILLS (20%):
• Strong analytical and conceptualization skills
• Research and problem solving skills to scan the organizational environment, analyze data, identify and assess emerging trends and develop options to strategically manage complex issues and files.
