Description:
Your Impact at Empire
The Project Manager, Land Development is responsible for the management and coordination of all technical activities on assigned projects within the low-rise homebuilding land development portfolio. The position plans, schedules, coordinates assigned engineering work, monitors budgets, and ensures that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants.
This role is located at our Empire Canada Homes Head Office in Vaughan, ON.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing multiple projects with the ability to multi-task effectively across internal departments.
- Responsible for plan review, quality control, and value engineering of civil engineering plans.
- Attends site meetings and monitors construction activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
- Monitors and manages budgets to help ensure financial performance objectives are achieved for each project.
- Coordination of bid document and land development permit submittal packages including permit applications, consultant studies, civil plans.
- Review and assemble permit paperwork to be submitted to different municipalities.
- Contact and maintain regular contact with local governmental offices for permits.
- Attend submittal meetings, permit/plan coordination meetings, plan submittal drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Perform other duties as assigned to advance and/or maintain established development schedules.
- Prepare monthly project status reports, advise of variances and prepare action plans for variances.
- Accountable for issues that have been escalated pertaining to plans and reports for project design elements inclusive of grading, drainage, utilities and roadways
