The Lummus Technology entity Brno/Czech Republic provides engineering, technical and life cycle services, sales and after sales support to sister companies within the Lummus group.
For our expansion we are looking for an experienced candidate who will be responsible for overall project management of all phases of project / study execution. As part of this role you will also review and approve certain technical documents being prepared in the course of the PDP/BEDP development.
The role will support the Lummus Technology Polymers Business Unit, where we develop, globally license, and service a portfolio of polymer technologies such as the successful Novolen® PP (the #1 licensed polypropylene technology in recent years), EXCENE™ HDPE, LDPE and EVA technologies along with the Saplene™ Superabsorbent Polymer (SAP) technology. We also develop and provide polymerization catalysts for use in these processes, and continuously develop new products to meet the latest market requirements.
Based on that we are looking for a Project Manager (m/f/d) located in Brno/Czech Republic at earliest date possible.

Key responsibilities

  • Leads and supervises PDP preparation
  • Main client contact within business group after project award through plant acceptance and as such representing the company at meetings and all customer related meetings
  • Read, understand, evaluate, comment on and apply client’s specifications and requirements
  • Issuance of project job instructions, development of project schedule and issuance of job quality plan when applicable
  • Responsibility for control and execution of an assigned project or project area within schedule and budget
  • Supervision of detailed engineering (document review, HAZOP, 3D model)
  • Construction supervision (Pipe check etc.)
  • Start-up support and supervision
  • Participation and responsibility for execution of process guarantee test runs
  • Technical support for tender preparation and / or technical clarification with clients
  • Realization and implementation of Technology design suggestions

Basic Qualifications

  • Accredited engineering degree, preferred M.S. in Chemical Engineering
  • 8-10 years of detail process engineering experience in lead role and / or specialization
  • Is generally current on latest scientific and engineering methods. Possesses a technical knowledge of the basic and detail design engineering process
  • Good understanding of process technologies (e.g. polymer technology)
  • Basic or extended knowledge in super high pressure applications
  • Capability to understand cost aspects of a project and execute projects within the given financial boundaries
  • Capability to understand typical contractual terms and conditions
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written/internal and external)
  • Very good English language skills (verbal and written); German language skills advantageous
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to report (verbal and written)
  • Ability to coordinate
  • Willingness for short term assignments to worldwide locations
